Jacobs High School May ''Business Student of the Month'' Announced

Jacobs High School
May "Business Student of the Month"
Announced

The Jacobs High School Business Department, in partnership with the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber Foundation, is proud to recognize Ruben Rivera as Business Student of the Month.

Ruben has consistently demonstrated the qualities that make a student stand out both inside and outside the classroom. He approaches his work with focus, professionalism, and a genuine desire to learn. His teachers speak highly of his preparation, reliability, and commitment to doing things the right way, consistently noting the effort and care he puts into his work each day.

What truly separates Ruben is the way he approaches challenges. He is not someone who simply completes assignments to meet expectations. Instead, he actively seeks to understand concepts at a deeper level and embraces opportunities to problem-solve and think critically. Whether tackling a difficult project or working through a new idea, Ruben approaches learning with energy, curiosity, and determination.

Ruben is also known for being a strong collaborator and positive presence in the classroom. He works well with classmates, willingly supports others, and helps create an environment where teamwork and learning can thrive. Outside of the classroom, he participates in tennis and values the positive experiences and relationships he has built as a Golden Eagle.

Looking ahead, Ruben plans to pursue a degree in Computer Science, a path that aligns well with the curiosity, analytical thinking, and persistence he demonstrates in the classroom each day.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Ruben will receive a $50 gift card to a local restaurant, generously sponsored by the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber Foundation. The Jacobs High School Business Department is proud to celebrate Ruben and looks forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the future.
