Lake in the Hills Police Department has groundbreaking news to share.

Lake in the Hills, IL – The Lake in the Hills Police Department is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking of their new police department as construction will begin soon in April of 2024. The new police department will be built near the current Village Hall (600 Harvest Gate Drive) with a forthcoming address in the 2600 block of Village Hall Drive.

The official groundbreaking date is Friday, April 19th 2024 at 4:00 P.M. The police department anticipates some commercial truck activity in the area this coming week nearing the groundbreaking date. The project will start with site clearing and grading.

“We are delighted to host our upcoming groundbreaking ceremony,” said Chief Mary Frake of the Lake in the Hills Police Department. “This groundbreaking is more than a symbol of the start of construction. This marks a significant milestone in our community as well as towards the future of our police department.”

The Lake in the Hills Police Department wants to be sure the community is well informed of the construction plan and phases as construction may temporarily cause additional truck traffic, noise, or dust during building.
