150th Anniversary Celebration of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Downtown Algonquin
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, St. John’s will host a celebration service at 10:00 am which will include worship and a message by L.C.M.S. Northern Illinois District President Rev. Dr. Alan Buss.
The 150th Anniversary Celebration will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 300 Jefferson Street in downtown Algonquin. The service will be followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony to signify the dedication to the next 150 years in service to the Lord.
St. John’s Lutheran Church invites the community to attend this celebratory event at 10:00 am on Sunday, March 1, 2026 as well as regular worship services held each weekend on Saturday evenings at 5:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 9:00 am followed by coffee fellowship, Sunday School for children and Bible Study for adults.

St. John's Lutheran Church is located at 300 Jefferson Street (at the intersection of Jefferson and Washington) in Downtown Algonquin, just 1 block west of Route 31 and 1 block south of Route 62.
