Elgin Community College Center for Emergency Services
Join Elgin Community College in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Center for Emergency Services (CES) on Saturday, October 3, in Burlington.
The celebration begins at 10:00 a.m. with an Emergency Services Information Session for prospective students and community members interested in careers in fire science, emergency medical services, and public safety. ECC faculty will share information about first-responder programs, career opportunities, and educational pathways. Attendees will also have an opportunity to tour the Center for Emergency Services and speak with ECC advisors. Registration is required for the information session, and seating is limited.
At 11:00 a.m., ECC will host its annual free, family-friendly Touch-a-Truck event. Activities will include opportunities to explore fire engines and patrol cars, demonstrations of fire, police, and paramedic equipment, live firefighter training demonstrations at the burn tower, food trucks, free ECC giveaways, and special 10th anniversary keepsakes.
