Join us September 2026 for ECC’s first ever Homecoming Week!
The ECC Foundation in partnership with ECC Student Life will host a fun-filled week of activities and events in celebration of all ECC Spartans past and present (students, alums current and former faculty and staff and family).

HOCO Hype - ECC Spirit Night
Date: Tuesday, September 15, 2026
Time: 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Main Campus , Bldg. J, Gymnasium and Soccer Field
Join us as we celebrate our Spartan athletes in action. Homecoming festivities will take place during and in between the games. This event is open to all ECC students, alumni, and community members. The afternoon will feature the Men's Soccer game at 4:00 pm, followed by the Women's Volleyball game at 6:00 pm. Additional parking will be available, and a complimentary shuttle will provide transportation to the Athletic Soccer Field. Come hungry and enjoy delicious offerings from Hello Boba, Mario's Tacos, and Stix & Noodles while cheering on the Spartans! Aged to Perfection: Alumni & Friends Wine Tasting
Attendees must be 21 or over.

Cost: $75 per person. $5 fee added at checkout.
Raise a glass to great taste, for a great purpose. Guests will enjoy and learn about a thoughtfully curated selection of wines paired with delicious bites crafted by students and faculty from the ECC Culinary Arts Program. Proceeds from the evening directly benefit that program and help provide students with scholarships and hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for thriving careers in the culinary world. Whether you're a wine enthusiast, proud alum, or supporter of culinary education, join us for an unforgettable night where every sip makes a difference. Come Back & Give Back: As You Like It
Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Time: 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Main Campus , Bldg. H, SecondSpace Theatre
Cost: $50 per person. $5 fee added at checkout.
Enjoy a lively production of “As You Like It,” one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, brought to life by the talented performers of the Goodly Creatures Theatre, led by ECC alum Katrina Syrris ’13. Proceeds will directly support ECC Fine Arts, helping provide students with scholarships, resources, and enriching artistic experiences that inspire the next generation of performers and creators. Join us for an evening where coming back truly means giving back. Join us for a Pre-Performance Reception starting at 6:00 pm in the Spartan Terrace. Enjoy delicious appetizers and have your first beverage on us (champagne, wine or a non-alcoholic beverage). Plus, guests will have the unique opportunity to meet members of the cast. We will also be honoring former ECC Drama Instructor Terry Domschke. Terry was a fixture in the ECC and Elgin Theatre Community for many years and touched the lives of so many, including Katrina Syrris. Spartan Sprint 5K and Family Run
Date: Sunday, September 20, 2026
Time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Location: Main Campus , Bldg. B, Lakeside Patio
Cost: $25 per adult and $15 per child 15 and under.
Wrap up ECC Homecoming Weekend with a morning of movement, connection, and celebration! Join us for the Spartan Sprint 5K or Family Fun Run, followed by our Welcome Home Spartan Family Picnic. Join us for a fun-filled day beginning with check-in and event kickoff at 9:30 am, followed by the 5K and fun run at 10 am. After the race, celebrate with fellow Spartans at the Welcome Home Spartan Family Picnic starting at 11:30 am. This event is open to all ECC students, alumni, and community members. Sponsored by the ECC Foundation, Student Life, and the Homecoming Alumni Committee.
