About Us

Established in 1937 by faculty and staff, MSUFCU provides a safe place where members can borrow and save money. Over the years, we've built a strong foundation of relationships with our members - ultimately helping them achieve their dreams. Our employees live our mission every day to spark those moments for members to find financial freedom and security, as they purchase their first cars and homes, start their own businesses, and save for their children's futures.

September 1, 2024, MSUFCU came to Illinois. We now have 5 branches in Chicago and 5 in McHenry County. In 2025 so far, MSUFCU served over 367k members all over the world, saved our members $12,231,007 in loan interest through refinancing higher rate loans and provided over 1,500 education seminars.

We are committed to making a positive impact on our members and communities by helping them achieve financial security, and ultimately, their dreams. Because of our members' involvement, we can invest in our communities to help create a positive place where people are proud to live, work, and visit.

We provide financial education to community members of all ages at no cost to empower individuals. Our financial education team offers seminars and presentations year-round on topics such as budgeting, buying a home, retirement planning, identity theft protection, and credit report awareness.
