A comedic family drama.

Seventeen-year-old Amber runs away to Chicago with no job, no money, and no plans for what she’s going to do next.  She’s shown up at the apartment of her uncle David, a struggling writer and recovering alcoholic stuck in an unfulfilling job, upending his solitary existence.  Over the next few days, Amber and David engage in a battle of wills, as David tries to get Amber to take charge of her future, and open up about why she really ran away from home.  Along the way, these two self-defined misfits forge a deeper, unexpected connection.
