Step Afrika!

The first professional company dedicated to the tradition of stepping and one of the top ten African American dance companies in the United States.

Based on the sights, sounds and movements of downtown Chicago, this work is dedicated to finding rhythms in everyday situations. Step Afrika!?s programs introduce young people of all backgrounds to the art form of stepping, an exciting contemporary American dance genre. Emphasizing teamwork, discipline and commitment, the Company enhances the lives of youth with programs that engage and inspire them to make positive choices.
