Lake in the Hills Police Department Hosts National Night Out Community Cookout

The Lake in the Hills Police Department's annual NNO Community Cookout is BACK! This free event is open to the community. The nationwide event is held on the first Tuesday evening in August; however, LITH PD will host the event on Saturday, August 7th from 11am - 2pm at the Irv Floress Safety Education Center (1109 Crystal Lake Rd). This helps us accommodate families and additional services provided by our community partners. Please come celebrate with us and show that we stand strong together as a community and against crime.

C'mon out for a police station tour, watch a live K-9 demo, see and touch various types of police and fire vehicles, meet “PC” the Patrol Car Robot, try on a pair of fatal vision impairment goggles (aka drunk goggles), try out the police simunition trailer which contains non-lethal training marking cartridges, visit with our tactical bike and traffic units, and more. Free hotdogs, chips, and pop will be provided while supplies last. We hope to see you there!
