This is truly one of the most beautiful community-based performances. It is among the most meaningful holiday traditions.\n\nHandel's oratorio\, Messiah\, is a well-known Baroque masterpiece.  Since the first performances in 1741\, it continues to be one of the most often-performed works for chorus\, soloists\, and orchestra.
