DESCRIPTION:The Lake in the Hills Police Department invites you to the FREE National Night Out Community Cookout on Saturday\, August 10th from 11am until 2pm at the Irv Floress Safety Education Center (1109 Crystal Lake Rd). Please come celebrate with us and show that we stand strong together as a community and against crime. C'mon out for a police station tour\, check out the Flight for Life helicopter up close\, watch a live K-9 demo presented by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office\, visit with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District\, meet "PC" the Patrol Car Robot\, see and touch various types of police and fire vehicles\, try on a pair of fatal vision impairment goggles\, try out the police simunition trailer which contains non-lethal training marking cartridges\, visit with our tactical bike and traffic units\, and more. Don't forget to enjoy a free hotdog on us! We hope to see you there! \n\n***Below is a schedule of events which is subject to change due to emergency calls and weather conditions.
