DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Lake in the Hills is pleased to announce that we are seeking grant proposals for projects/programs that improve the quality of life for residents of Lake in the Hills and McHenry and Kane Counties\, particularly those most in need.\n\n\nFor the past 16 years\, the Rotary Club of Lake in the Hills has supported community nonprofit organizations through our signature event\, Rockin' Rotary Ribfest.  During this time\, the Club has awarded more than $250\,000 in nonprofit grants to organizations making a meaningful difference in our community. \n\n\n\n \n\n*IMPACT: Each category will have 2 awards for $1\,500 each (maximum)\n\n1.      Animal Rescue Impact Award   For agencies that are increasing protection for animals and are building and sustaining local capacities across the county to advance animal welfare.\n\n2.      Seniors and/or Veterans Impact Award  For agencies that have a mission to improve the quality of life for seniors and/or veterans within our area\n\n3.      Kids and Teens Impact Award   Agencies that enhance the lives of the children and/or teens and empower them to become responsible\, productive adults.c\n\n4.      Mental Health/Addiction Recovery Impact Award   Agencies that deliver care\, counseling\, addiction services and/or residential mental healthcare.\n\n \n\n*MAJOR Difference Maker Award-maximum of 1 awards @ $1\,500 (maximum) each\n\nThis is for any agency that may not fall into any of the above categories or feel their program will make a major difference in the area.\n\n \n\nApplications are available at www.lithrotary.org\n\n  \n\nGuidelines:\n\n        Eligible applicants are organizations or projects that benefit LITH and McHenry/Kane County residents.\n\n        Projects must demonstrate a specific need that is not already supported by the organization's ongoing operating budget.\n\n        Proposals for projects/programs should request only the amount needed for the specific project/program. The request should not exceed the maximum dollar amount of each specific grant. \n\n        Organizations are encouraged to apply for support of new initiatives or to increase the impact of an existing program. \n\n        Organizations may apply for both awards\, but projects must be different. No organization will be awarded both MAJOR and IMPACT awards in the same year. \n\n \n\nImportant dates:\n\n        Proposals are due no later than April 24\, 2026 at 5:00 pm\n\n        Checks will be awarded at an expo event with date and time TBD.
