DESCRIPTION:Local Pizza Parlors will compete!\n\nWe are hosting this exciting event to benefit a dynamic\, courageous young woman from LITH and her family. When Marissa was only 12\, she was diagnosed with a Desmoids tumor in her left ankle. This kind of tumor is painful\, aggressive\, and mysterious\; in fact\, it is so rare that doctors don't know what causes it or how to stop it from growing. Painful surgeries after another to debulk the tumor became too much. The decision was made to amputate. Marissa would get back her life be able to sleep through the night without waking in pain be able to have a social life again. Most of all\, she could resume her dream to become a veterinarian. Although Marissa was able to receive the gift of a prosthetic\, we would like to donate the entire proceeds of this event to help with medical expenses\, prosthetics\, and long-term therapy for Marissa.\n\nFUN RAFFLES AND PRIZES TOO!\n\n*We are looking for donated raffle baskets and pizza places that are up for a local\, fun challenge and serve up their best for the community to vote on!
